Lowe's Director, Workplace Strategy and Business Services in Mooresville, North Carolina

Job Description:

The principle purpose of the Director, Workplace Strategy and Business Services is to develop integrated workplace strategies and services across the enterprise that are driven by business and cultural objectives. The position will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of service delivery, including third party contractual services and employee services/amenities impacting the corporate workspace environment to include direct and indirect influence at Lowe's Customer Support Centers (CSC), Regional Offices, Contacts Centers, Data Centers, and a geographically dispersed portfolio (US, Canada, Mexico, India)of over 4 million square feet and valued at nearly $1 Billion. Manages an operational budget of $10M Expense and $10M-$15M Capital and a staff of 150 FTE's.

This position oversees a team responsible for workplace strategy, metrics and balanced score card, standards and guidelines, process and efficiencies, portfolio analysis and strategy, portfolio management, portfolio programming, and coordination with HR workforce management.

The Director, Workplace Strategy and Business Services is also responsible for managing the operations and overall relationship of the strategic space planning teams, space programming, architectural design, design engineering, and project management, standards and guidelines, process and efficiencies, moves, add, changes, and work order management.

This position oversees additional teams responsible for associate business services, including food services (offices, stores, and distribution centers), meeting room management, branded apparel and promotional supplies program, rotational storefront and reception, mail services, print services, and records/imaging management.

•Develops complex requirements for workplace solutions which may span multiple business unites by partnering with the business units, HR (Workforce Management), and the Facilities teams (e.g., Facility Managers, Space Planners, Administrative Services Associates); leveraging multiple business requirements gathering methodologies to identify business, functional, and non-functional requirements; documenting requirements throughout each stage of the project or initiative; documenting comprehensive business cases to assess the costs, benefits, and ROI of proposed solutions for the enterprise.

•Develop a consistent and holistic Portfolio Management, Workplace Strategy, Strategic Space Planning, and Business Administrative Services which provides clear governance and policy, process and methodology, standards and specifications, and tracks measurable results; support enterprise leadership and Corporate Facility Management to optimize the portfolio and deliver value for investment balance against risk.

•Provides deep and sophisticated analytic capabilities to support portfolio optimization and management across the enterprise valued at nearly $1Billion dollars of facilities assets through collecting, cleaning, transforming, and restructuring data for statistical analysis; building interactive dashboards, metrics and KPI’s to test for performance; creating predictive models supporting a vast array of internal and external benchmarks; performing statistical tests to enhance the predictability of future state models; identifying value gaps and opportunities for process enhancements, strategic portfolio optimization, and efficiencies

•Drives the development of strategic and tactical plans aligned with Corporate Facilities Department and business strategy in order to bring the vision into realization.

•Drives innovation across the team using a deep understanding of how the Corporate Facilities Management team works within the organization.

•Keeps pace with change and maintains a competitive advantage within the marketplace by seeking out and learning about changes in the field.

•Plan and implement detailed annual and long term department operating budgets (expense and capital) based on corporate, departmental, and anticipated facility service goals. Manage expenses to meet budget goals.

•Make special presentations to executive management, employee groups, and outside parties, as required, regarding campus updates and initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

•Bachelor's Degree Architecture, Interior Design, or related Engineering field 8-10 years

•6 + years Workplace Strategy

•6 + years Portfolio Management, Portfolio Optimization
